Just imagine if we stopped and did as we're told,

Just like how our bodies act, they shiver when they're cold.

Or is it your brain that's reading, then catalyzing induction?

Pills and prescriptions flood the markets in abundance,

Thinking that different factors may prevent your imminent redundance.

Cancelling your life's subscription as the truths begin to unfold,

As you begin to question all the rationales you’ve heard, and those you’ve been told,

Making a journey around the sun, we sometimes feel we oscillate,

Being released in a complex world prematurely, not receiving the proper tools to ensure we ovulate

Do you believe in free will? Or believe it’s just God’s time?

What if your life was different? Living a life plagued with crime?

Regretting your past, you try to hold today together like a suture, 

Oblivious of what to come, and how it will impact your future.

Resurrecting from colonialism, before your grandma was a baby

Resilience personified, you voyaged valiantly through the strife,

As we come to be like swans, have just one partners for life,

Nearing to the end, and you might think it’s just confusion,

Do you still think you have control? Or maybe it’s just an illusion…?
